The Haut-Poitou Golf Club is affiliated with the Golfy network, guaranteeing a quality of welcome and service, and optimal maintenance of the courses. You also benefit from price reductions and partner accommodation.
A recognized course, the Haut-Poitou Golf Course was home to an International Professional Golf Open on the Alps Tour circuit for 13 years and it hosts a Pro-Am every year.
18-HOLE GOLF
Technicality and astonishment await you throughout this 18-hole course which will surprise you with its diversity.
Technical and hilly, this reputation earned it the opportunity to be held for 13 years to receive an International Golf Open, a professional tournament on the Alps Tour circuitduring which the golf elite was able to measure themselves against the challenge of this course. Since 2017, this course has hosted an annual Pro-Am, a golf competition bringing together around twenty teams, each made up of a professional player and 3 amateurs.
The exceptional landscapes with views of the lake offered by this route make it a particularly bucolic and appreciated site.
9-HOLE GOLF
The 9-hole course, different from the 18-hole course, will satisfy both novices and experienced players.
Played easily in 1h40, this course, made up of pars 3 and 4, is suitable for discovery but is also an excellent training course.
THE PITCH & PUTT COURSE
Ideal course for players in a hurry and to work on the approach, it is easily accessible, even in winter.
Located on the 9-hole course with advanced departures on synthetic mats, materialized by orange stakes, the maximum distance of the holes of the Pitch & Putt course is 90m. As its game requires only a few clubs and can be played quickly, this course is popular with players in winter or with less than 2 hours to indulge in their golfing passion.
YOUR GOLF TRAINING
The secret to a good game of golf: practice! To be able to train optimally, in all seasons, the Golf du Haut-Poitou, affiliated to the Golfy network, makes its equipment available to you.
A driving range, including 40 uncovered posts, 28 covered posts and 2 teachers’ boxes, will allow you to work on your golf gesture, aiming for targets or, more original, rugby posts! Recently equipped with the trackman range, come and test the digital experience, combining practice, games and virtual golf!
You can also perfect your gesture thanks to the training bunker, the 2 putting-greens and the approach green. The original extras of the Golf du Haut-Poitou: take up the waistland challenge located on the course, avoid this imposing obstacle to reach the green as quickly as possible! Exhausted from your game? You can count on the moving walkway that will take you from hole n°18 or hole n°9 to the clubhouse with a breathtaking view of the lake!
THE GOLF COURSE AND THE RESTAURANT HOST YOUR EVENTS
The Haut-Poitou Golf Club offers its different spaces: course, practice area, training areas, clubhouse, proshop, but also La Table du Golf restaurant, open to all, and the panoramic terrace, to welcome you.
Enjoy a moment on site, a day, or even a weekend, around golfing activity, but also other outdoor activities a few minutes away, at Saint-Cyr Lake, at the Saint-Cyr Regional Nature Reserve, and by staying in accommodation near the Golf Course.
ENVIRONMENTAL APPROACH
The Golf team, for several years, in line with its values and those of the French Golf Federation, has been committed to the preservation of the environment, in particular in connection with the Golf Environment Charter. The Golf du Haut-Poitou thus favors sustainable maintenance practices, namely the implementation of various good practices for the maintenance of the golf course such as reasoning weeding practices, favoring mechanical operations, opting for differentiated management of meadows (with late mowing for certain areas), to apply rational water management. Golf thus contributes to the preservation of species, promoting biodiversity. Thanks to this, golfers have the pleasure of observing rare species on the course, such as the Purple Orchid (Orchis Purpurea) or the Fritillary Guinea fowl.
The role of the Golf is also to make golfers aware of management choices in favor of sustainable development. One of the great interests of the game of golf lies in a different practice according to the seasons of the year and the state of the course (I accept wild and spontaneous grass, possible small areas of a color other than green).
